Obituary for Linda M. Mickle
Linda Marie Mickle transitioned on Saturday, June 24, 2023 with her niece Nicole Hines and sister Crystal Brundage Geathers by her side.
Linda was born in Nyack, NY on August 17, 1957 to Beatrice Dumas Mickle and Wiley C Mickle. Linda attended and graduated from the Nyack Public School District and then went off to college in Long Island where she graduated with her Associates in Business.
After graduating Linda was employed for years at Rockland Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg, NY. She was a proud supporter of the Nyack NAACP where she did a lot of clerical work for the then President Dr. Francis Pratt. Linda was also employed by Aramark for years and worked in the Nyack Public School district.
For the past 13 years Linda resided in New York City at Gema House where she had a host of loving friends and supporters.
Linda was free spirited always on the move and had a heart and love for all children. To know Linda was to love her and there was no getting away with it. She leaves behind lots of loving fun and funny memories for all that knew and loved her.
Linda was predeceased by her mother Beatrice Dumas Mickle, Father Wiley C Mickle, Brother Wendell Dumas, Sister Martha Mickle Hines, Brother Wiley C Mickle Jr. and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her niece Nicole Hines (Anthony Rodriguez), great nephew DaShawn Rodriguez, great nephew Justen Rodriguez, great niece Jazlyn Rodriguez, nephew Kwame Dumas, niece Jasmine Dumas, niece Joanna Mickle, sister Antoinette Mickle, nephew Usir P., sister Daphney Mickle Golden (Ira Golden), brother Dana Mickle, brother Gerry Mickle (Hazel Mickle), nephew Uriah Mickle, nephew Isaiah, niece Neziyah, niece Aniyah, nephew Jojo Mickle, brother Peter Mickle(Jennifer Mickle), niece Malaysia Mickle, brother Michael Mickle, nephew Michael Mickle Jr. niece Maya Mickle, brother Robert Mickle, sister Diamond Mickle and a host of cousins and friends.
