Long-time Nanuet resident

Anna Marie Hodge, passed away in Valley Cottage, NY on June 26, 2023. She was 94 years old.

Anna was married to the love of her life, her husband Edward of 63 years, whom she will reunite with in Heaven. Anna was a home maker, raised 3 sons and worked for the NY Telephone Co. She also was a Lab Tech at Lederle, before her early retirement. Together they enjoyed so many outdoor activities, including boating on the Hudson River, fishing, crabbing and long walks on Cape Cod. They both loved to travel. Living in Texas, Cape Cod , Florida and back to her roots in Nanuet. She would talk with everyone she met. She was easy going, but was an Irish mom. Spending time with family, friends and relatives, She was known to make the stones talk.

Anna was a great wife, mother, sister, grandma, great-grandmother, Super Aunt, mother-in-law, Godmother, and friend to all who have ever met her.

Surviving family include: 3 sons, Edward and his wife Norma of Nanuet, Ron and his wife Nancy of Austin, TX, and Michael and his wife Liz, of Greenwood Lake, NY.

Her grandchildren: Steve(Michelle)of NY, Danny (Katie) of NJ,

Chris (Kelsey) Brian (Ali) of NY, Matt (Kate Marie)of NC.

Timothy, Kristin(Randy)Miller and Kathryn(Steven) Weed of Austin, TX.

Her great-grandchildren: Hailey, Ashlyn and Brielle Miller, as well as Luke and Ethan Merton, of Austin, Texas. Gabriella of NY, Avery of NC and Jack of NJ.

A Mass if Christian Burial will be held at St Ann’s RC Church in Nyack, on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 10 AM. Interment will follow at the Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 220 Brick Church Road, Spring Valley. NY.
