Obituary for Louise Sandra Shervan
Louise Sandra Shervan, 87, of Brooklyn, New York, formerly of Deerfield Beach, Florida, died peacefully in her sleep on January 22, 2024 at Sea Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brooklyn.
Her last days were spent listening to her favorite oldies and classical music with her devoted daughter by her side. She is predeceased by her parents, Harry and Betty (Jacobs) Auerbach of Bronx, N.Y., and her late husband of 49 years, Marvin Shervan.
Louise was a teacher and later became a tireless advocate for women’s rights and survivors of domestic violence. She loved spending time with family and her many friends, who were drawn to her magnetic smile and vibrant personality. She made new friends wherever she went.
Survivors include her beloved daughter, Stacey Shervan, of Brooklyn, New York, and an extensive number of life-long friends and chosen family.
In remembrance of Louise Shervan, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
