Obituary for Joan E. Lafasciano
Joan E. Lafasciano , of Bardonia, NY, passed away on April 5, 2024. She was 91 years old. Joan was born on April 18, 1932 to Ralph and Elizabeth Housman. She was a sibling of 8 having 3 brothers, Ralph, Donald and Michael and 4 sisters Betty, Lois, Barbara and Sally. She is predeceased by husband Nicolo Lafasciano to whom she was married for 53 years. Joan was a devoted wife and mother. After her children had grown she was employed by St. Dominic’s in Blauvelt, NY as a nurse’s aide working in the Infirmary located at the convent. She had lived in West Nyack and Florida prior to moving to Bardonia. She is survived by her loving daughter Joan of Lincoln Park, NJ and her son Nicholas and his wife Dawn of West Nyack, and two loving granddaughters, Elizabeth and Ashley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 17, at 11:30 am at St. Anthony’s RC Church in Nanuet. Interment will follow at Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
