Obituary for Charles "Chuck" Araneo

Charles "Chuck" Araneo of Nyack, NY died of a sudden illness on December 5, 2015 at Nyack Hospital. He was 62. Chuck was born in Teaneck, NJ to Michael and Ann Araneo on December 31, 1952. He was a life-long resident of Rockland County and lived for many years in Nyack, NY. Chuck attended Clarkstown North High School and continued his studies at Rockland Community College.
Chuck was an accomplished musician on a number of instruments, favoring drums and his many treasured guitars. For most of his adult life he enjoyed performing with various local bands. He loved to debate and spent many hours discussing music, politics, and sports. If one needed a helping hand, Chuck was quick to offer his. His many efforts were very much appreciated.
He is survived by his father Michael, caring friend Marilyn K. both of New City, NY, brother Michael and wife Maryann of Pomona, NY, and sister Mary of Congers, NY, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins. His mother Ann passed away in 1981.
Interment will be private. Donations may be made in Chuck's name to St. John's Episcopal Church in New City, NY.
