Obituary for James A. Buckhout
On Thursday, March 26th, James A. Buckhout, loving son and brother passed away after a long illness at the age of 54.
Jim was born on October 13, 1965 at Nyack Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Upper Nyack. He attend Nyack High School and graduated in 1983. He also attended Pace University and St. Thomas Aquinas College.
He was a proud member of Mazeppa Fire Engine Co. No. 2 in Nyack and enjoyed the comradery of his fellow firefighters. Jim loved going hiking, watching drag racing and going to the beach. He loved watching football and was a Jets fan.
Jim was preceded in death by his father Robert. He is survived by his mother Brenda, his sister Lynne Stingo and her husband Thomas, his brother Andrew and his wife Sally, his nephew Chad, his niece Ashley and her husband Cary and his great nephew Thor.
A private service will be held with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to:
