To my beloved Mommie Mado, my tatie. Mommie Mado was a great listener, she carried a great amount of burdens on her shoulder. She always had time to listen to everyone’s problems, especially mines. She felt my ups and downs without judgments or condemnations. She was everything to me: my sister, my mommy, my friend, my confident, my fixer, my rock. Whatever anyone told mommie Mado you knew she would take it to the grave with her, and she did. She was empathetic, sincere, wise, caring, understanding, patient, nurturing. She was a MASTER NURSE, an OUTSTANDING MOTHER, an accomplished first-class woman, all that at only “6-foot-tall”. She gave so much of herself unselfishly, without complaining. Mommie Mado will always be forever my MOMMIE MADO, M’AMOUR MOMMIE MADO.
